About me
I have been working in Sales in Academic Book Publishing for more than a decade, firstly with Elsevier S&T then with Emerald Group Publishing Limited and now at the Royal Society of Chemistry where I am responsible for global print book sales and aggregator eBook sales.
I manage a small team and we work closely with partners around the world to promote the Royal Society of Chemistry's books portfolio. It is exciting and educational and we are regularly challenged and surprised by the complexities of the world markets.
What is consistent across all markets is the desire for knowledge, development and improvement. This compliments the Royal Society of Chemistry's mission to advance excellence in the chemical sciences through our activities in education, conferences, science policy and the promotion of chemistry to the public. As a not-for-profit organization our profits are invested back into the chemical sciences community and in the last 10 years we have reinvested over US$400 million.
I am proud to be involved (albeit in a very small way) in the education of current generations and the contribution to scientific developments.
